As Senior Vice President of Regional Park Operations for Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, Raffi Kaprelyan oversees the company’s West Coast’s theme parks, water parks and hotel. He leverages more than four decades of industry experience to lead park operations, marketing and sales, with the ultimate goal of delivering high-quality guest experiences across all parks. Kaprelyan began his career with the company at Knott’s Berry Farm as a janitor while in high school.

He later moved to ride operations, guest services and has since continued up the company ladder assuming leadership positions at Canada’s Wonderland before returning to Knott’s Berry Farm in 2011 for the top job of Vice President and General Manager.

In 2016, Kaprelyan was promoted to Regional Vice President driving record performance at Knott’s Berry Farm as well as other Cedar Fair parks including California’s Great America, Cedar Point, Worlds of Fun and Michigan’s Adventure. In 2021, he was named Senior Vice President Operations and Guest Service and in 2024, in response to the Cedar Fair and Six Flags merger to form North America’s largest regional amusement operator, Kaprelyan assumed oversight of the West Region.

Kaprelyan has twice been included in The Orange County Register’s Most Influential list in 2015 and 2020, the latter which celebrated his handling of the parks and employees during the pandemic. He is credited with leading efforts to return Knott’s Berry Farm to its historic roots and introducing the park’s beloved springtime Boysenberry Festival, which celebrates the berry that started it all.
