Threads That Tie Us: A Fiber Art Community Experience

  • McCune Room, Vallejo JFK Library Lower Level 505 Santa Clara Street Vallejo, CA, 94590 United States (map)

Explore the blurred lines between everyday objects and artistic expression with a focus on fiber and textile art.

In this rebellion against the distinction between Craft and Art, we invite you to experience the surprising and delightful diversity of these works while marveling at the skill, intuition, knowledge and wisdom behind their making.

The fiber artists include Britt-Marie Alm, Stephanie Brown, Risa Iwasaki Culbertson, Amanda Farrell, Jennifer Laursen, Youngmi Angela Pak, Leigh Ann Parente, and Vida Vazquez – who each create, in unique ways, something new from raw or recycled materials, intuitively and humanely imbuing them with beauty and authenticity.

The McCune Collection is location in the lower level of the JFK Library building. Enter via the newly refurbished lower level plaza at the corner of Georgia & Santa Clara Streets.

Coffee, tea and refreshments to be served
