Chicago-born and steeped in the 1950s/’60s blues, soul, and jazz he grew up on, Hanck cut his teeth touring for a decade with Elvin Bishop (“Terry Hanck is a fine vocalist, an amazing showman, and my favorite sax player,” says Bishop) before launching his own band.
