A master multi-instrumentalist, composer, and bandleader, Roger Glenn is renowned for his command of more than 18 instruments, including vibraphone, flute, and saxophone. Born in Manhattan and raised in a rich musical legacy—his father, Tyree Glenn, performed with jazz legends such as Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington, and Louis Armstrong—Roger has carried that lineage forward with his own unmistakable voice. Over a storied career, Glenn has performed and recorded with icons including Cal Tjader (on the Grammy-winning La Onda Va Bien), Mongo Santamaria, Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Mann, Donald Byrd, and Taj Mahal, appearing on more than 40 albums before stepping forward as a leader.
