Get ready for the 2nd Annual Art of Community Exhibit & Festival @ MIAS, happening August 9–31, 2025, in continued collaboration with Mare Island Art Studios. Here’s a glimpse of what’s ahead:

  •  August 9: Opening Artist’s Reception – spotlighting beloved local artists and fresh new voices

  •  August 16: 2nd Annual Art of Community Awards Ceremony – celebrating impact-makers in Vallejo’s creative ecosystem

  •  August 23: The return of the Art of Community Fashion Show, our most buzzed-about event

  •  August 24: Ekphrastic Poetry Night – where spoken word meets visual wonder

 Plus, don’t miss the debut of a brand-new interactive sculpture by MIAS artist JeanCherie, inspired by the winged wildlife of Mare Island. Designed as a joyful photo moment and potential permanent fixture, it captures the unity, imagination, and heart that define Art of Community.
