Performing for over 11 years, Aca-word is a group of professional energetic singers based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Originally founded in 2012 Aca-word is a group of singers committed to making and sharing both their music and their friendship.
The group has taken the stage at major a cappella festivals such as the A Cappella Open, Bend A Cappella Festival, SheSings, and Harmony Sweepstakes Festival where they claimed Best Original Arrangement (“Let It Go” by James Bay) in 2016. In 2021, the group released their debut single, a cover of Dua Lipa’s “Break My Heart” followed by their debut EP titled “Play It Cool”.
Most recently, the hit single "Skate" was released to the delight of fans with huge critical acclaim.
Aca-word’s repertoire consists of a diverse set of original arrangements of pop hits, rock classics, Broadway tunes and holiday music, all arranged by the group’s director, Daniel Jones.
