The Joe Mortara Golf Course, located on the Solano County Fairgrounds in Vallejo, offers the perfect facilities at which to learn to play golf or perfect your game. The 9-hole course features 1,593 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 28. The course rating is 56.4 and has a slope rating of 83. The pro shop stocks the golfing essentials so that you can come out to practice or play a round without worrying about those tees, balls, and other items that somehow seem to not be in your bag when you need them! Mare Island Golf Club was established in 1892, making it the oldest course west of the Mississippi. Recently expanded into a full 18-hole facility by renowned Pacific Rim architect Robin Nelson, the new course is designed to challenge golfers of all abilities.
