Begin your day with a tour of one of Vallejo's hidden treasures - Mare Island Historic Park. This closed naval base is rich in history and beauty, including a new museum and the largest collection of Tiffany stained glass windows west of the Mississippi. Continue your induction into Vallejo's history with a visit to the Vallejo Naval & Historical Museum in historic downtown Vallejo. This is a perfect starting point for a self-guided walking tour of the beautifully restored Victorian architecture of downtown and the waterfront. Complete your day with dinner in one of Vallejo's historic restaurants, Zio Fraedo's located on Vallejo's beautiful waterfront.
Hop on a Baylink ferry from Vallejo's waterfront and enjoy a 50- minute scenic bay cruise to San Francisco's beautiful Ferry Building & Marketplace and where you can then take a short jaunt to historic Angel Island State Park for hiking, kayaking and tram tours. Or take a leisurely stroll through PIER 39 which offers something for everyone including several restaurants, shopping and more. For a look at over 250 wax replicas of the world's most famous and infamous, stop by the Wax Museum at Fisherman's Wharf, just a block away. Be sure to check out several San Francisco activities originating at PIER 39 including Blue & Gold's many bay cruises including Angel Island. And don't miss the guided city tours and walking tours of world-famous Alcatraz. After you've exhausted yourself on the sights of San Francisco, get back on a Baylink ferry for your scenic return trip to Vallejo.
A short ten-mile drive from Vallejo puts you in the heart of several activities satisfying a wide variety of interests. All ages will enjoy a guided tour of the Jelly Belly Candy Company. You'll see how those unique, flavorful jelly beans are made, try some samples and finish with a visit to the gift shop and cafe. Wash your treats down with samples from the Anheuser-Busch Brewery located just next door where you'll get a unique opportunity to learn about the American brewing process. Shoppers can get their fill at Westfield Shoppingtown - Solano, home to several restaurants, movie theaters and a variety of well-known department and specialty stores.
Vallejo offers several challenging golf courses for players of all levels including the City's own Blue Rock Springs Golf Course, offering a lighted driving range plus two 18-hole courses including the recently renovated West course. Hiddenbrooke Golf Club is an 18-hole, public Arnold Palmer Signature Course with a driving range and chipping and putting greens. Hiddenbrooke, the former host of an international LPGA Tournament for three years, has a Golf Digest rating of four stars. Come play a part of history at the Mare Island Golf Club, established in 1892. This picturesque and challenging course was recently expanded to 18 holes and offers unsurpassed views of San Pablo Bay and surrounding hills and mountains. And just a few miles from Vallejo and located in beautiful Napa Valley are Chardonnay Golf Club, 27 holes of championship golf and Eagle Vines Golf Club, an 18-hole course designed by Johnny Miller and Jack Barry. Also nearby in Fairfield are Rancho Solano and Paradise Golf Courses, both rated in the Zagat Survey of "America's Best Golf Courses." If golf is your "bag," Vallejo is the place for you with over 30 courses located within 20 miles.

Located just nine miles west of Vallejo and nestled in one of the most beautiful regions in the world is Infineon Raceway. It is arguably the world's busiest racing facility, with 340 days/50 weekends of on-track activities each year. Infineon Raceway plays host annually to the crown jewel of the motorsports industry, NASCAR, with the Toyota/Save Mart 350. In addition, NHRA drag racing, AMA Superbikes, and the high-powered IRL IndyCar Series all spend at least one weekend a year racing in the wine county. So whatever your tastes are in high-speed racing, you will want to spend at least one day enjoying the sights and sounds at the one-of-a-kind Infineon Raceway.
