GVRD operates 4 community parks and 19 neighborhood parks strategically located throughout the city; Blue Rock Springs and Dan Foley Park have large group facilities that attract people from all over Northern California.
The Children’s Wonderland Park recently received a $2.5 million makeover. This park has been entertaining kids and parents for more than 45 years. Activities include Cinderella’s pumpkin coach, a toy train and depot, a gigantic chess board, a covered theater, five picnic areas and more.
GVRD accepts reservations at Blue Rock Springs, Dan Foley, and Hanns Park. Picnic areas are available in several sizes to accommodate between 50 and 300 people.
Park Rangers help make weekend outings a pleasant experience. For reservations call the GVRD main office at 648-4600 and choose option 1; then option 2.

GVRD has clean, pleasant buildings with trained, professional staff. Each building has lavatories, plenty of parking, and rooms in a variety of sizes.
GVRD lists classes in its activity guide which is mailed three times a year to all Vallejo households. In addition, classes are frequently promoted in Vallejo's newspaper and on local cable TV.
