WIN GREAT PRIZES! Monthly Trivia
This Month's Question

The MIRA Theatre Guild is Vallejo’s first and longest running community theatre, having been chartered in January of 1947. What did the letters M.I.R.A orginally stand for?

The correct answer will be rewarded with two (2) Vallejo Baylink Ferry Passes ($48.00 value). Email your answer here.

Congratulations to Donna Kimble of Vallejo, whose name was drawn from those who correctly answered “a Sullivan & Considine vaudeville act” to last month’s question: What was the very first act ever to take the stage at the Empress Theatre?

Donna wins two (2) Vallejo Baylink Ferry Passes ($48.00 value).
Did you know that Touro University - California is one of the anchor tenants of Vallejo's Mare Island. The campus was previously occupied by the United States Navy and used as a cryptographic school and education center.

Did you know that Vallejo and Mare Island have many interesting historical ties to Hawaii? In December 1874, Hawaiian King Kalakalua visited Mare Island while on his way to Washington D.C. for a meeting with President Ulysses S. Grant. Later, in 1965, Mare Island launched the USS Kamehameha, one of seventeen nuclear submarines built at the Shipyard.
