On this past Tuesday, April 27th the city issued a proclamation designating May as Tourism month here in Vallejo! The rest of the nation will be marking the occasion as well during National Tourism Week, May 8 - 16 and the U.S. Travel Rally Day, on Tuesday, May 11th!
It's the "Year of the Dolphin" at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom! Celebrate the occasion with their exclusive two-hour program, THE DOLPHIN DISCOVERY. National Tourism Week began when the U.S. Congress passed a joint resolution in 1983 designating the week to be celebrated in May. In a White House ceremony, President Ronald Reagan signed a Presidential Proclamation urging citizens to observe the week with “the appropriate ceremonies and activities.” |
