WIN GREAT PRIZES!

Congratulations to Donna Kimble from Vallejo whose name was selected from those who correctly answered the
"Veterans Memorial Building" to last month’s Trivia Question: The Vallejo Symphony is celebrating their 78th season with four concerts. The orchestra debuted in 1931 with a 60 musicians in what auditorium? Donna wins two FREE passes on Blue & Gold’s Bay Adventure cruise (Total Value: $46.00)

On Friday, October 30th, the Vallejo Naval & Historical Museum will hold their annual fundraiser with the Halloween theme: Celebrate Vallejo - Ghosts of Vallejo’s Past. Can you name the ghost who has been known to haunt Building 77 on Mare Island?

The winning entry from the drawing of those who answered the question correctly will win four (4) FREE passes to Comedy at the Cantina
with Matt Larson (Total Value: $40.00).

Please email your answers to

Did you know that the #1 candy of choice is SNICKERS (who coincidentally is presenting FRIGHT FEST at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom)?

Did you know that of the pumpkins marketed domestically, 99% of them are used as jack-o-lanterns at Halloween? And, did you know that pumpkins also come in white, blue and green? Great for unique monster carvings!

Did you know that Halloween is the third biggest party day of the year behind New Year’s and Super Bowl Sunday, respectively?

Health concerns that can affect the travel industry are important to the Vallejo CVB. With that in mind and as we enter the flu season, we present the following common sense health tips from the U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):

• Wash your hands often with soap and water. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective

• Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.

• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Germs spread this way.

• Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, and manage your stress.

• Drink plenty of fluids and eat nutritious foods.

• Try to avoid close contact with sick people
