The Vallejo Naval & Historical Museum presents Celebrate Vallejo IV: Hungry for History on Friday, November 7th and in honor of this very special event, here’s an easy question about the Vallejo Museum: What is the name of the Vallejo Museum’s exhibit hall which is used for special exhibits and available to rent for meetings and events?

Please email your answers to info@visitvallejo.com. The winner chosen from a drawing of correct entries will win two tickets to Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (valued at $60.00).

Congratulations to Kelli Moore from Vallejo, CA whose name was drawn from those who correctly answered correctly answered last month’s two-part question:

Can you name the year the Vallejo Sister City Association was established and the first city to become a Vallejo sister city? The answers were 2000 and 65 miles per hour. The winner received a $25 gift certificate to the new City Lights Cantina on 415 Virginia Street in Vallejo.

Did you know that a committee was formed from the Vallejo Architectural Heritage Foundation to fight the crime and neglect that have plagued Vallejo's City Park for many years? The goal of the City Park Committee is to rejuvenate this historic park and make it a place that the entire community can enjoy. For more information and details about how you can help please go to www.PreserveCityPark.org.

Did you know the United States Chamber of Commerce recently awarded the Vallejo Chamber of Commerce with 4-Star Accreditation in 2008 for its sound policies, effective organizational procedures, and positive impact on the community? “We are extremely proud to be one of only four Chambers in Northern California, and one of one of only ten in the entire state, to receive the U.S. Chamber’s 4-Star rating,” said Rick Wells, Vallejo Chamber President and CEO. “This designation is a tribute to our outstanding staff team, and to the commitment and dedication of our volunteer leadership to build an effective and productive organization.”
