Whether you’re coming for the weekend or to take advantage of the great weekday rates, Vallejo offers four 18-hole courses to challenge beginners to experts.  The City’s own Blue Rock Springs has two 18-hole courses plus a lighted driving range.  The Hiddenbrooke Golf Club is an 18-hole public Arnold Palmer Signature Course with Golf Digest rating of four "****". You can play part of history at the Mare Island Golf Club which offers unsurpassed views of San Pablo Bay and on a clear day the Golden Gate Bridge.

Other area courses include in beautiful Napa Valley, Chardonnay Golf Club and Eagle Vines Golf Club. And in nearby Fairfield check out Rancho Solano and Paradise Valley Golf courses. So, if golf is your “bag,” we have a course waiting for you!

Book your hotel today and make Vallejo your home base to experience other great attractions like Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, the Jelly Belly Candy Company, Mare Island tours or take a scenic ferry to San Francisco’s Ferry Building Marketplace or to PIER 39.

At the Earth Day 2008 celebration at this year’s Vallejo Farmer’s Market on Sat. April 19th, VALCORE Community Recycling will sponsor a shopping bag design contest. Did you know the VALCORE is the acronym for Vallejo Community Organizations Recycling and was established in May of 1981 by the City of Vallejo’s Beautification Advisory Commission?

   

From April 1 through May 26, the Vallejo Artist’s Guild is hosting a “Spring Forward” celebration with the grand opening of Off the Mark Studios (623 Marin St,). Did you know that the Vallejo Artist’s Guild was formed 20 years ago and that they recently held an all-day conference attended by more than 50 city officials, artists and business people to brainstorm creative ideas for the integration of art and community to improve Vallejo?
